Clearly, this is the right book for any leader at any time. But for me, it crossed my path just when God intended!
After a long-standing career in accounting, finance and project management in a variety of industries, sizes and structures, I decided to set out on my own and offer fractional CFO and related services to start-up and smaller organizations. At that same time, I had a family member ask me to help them with a family business they had grown quite well inside of three years, but was out of control. Reading this book while working with this family was incredible!! It was almost like someone (Bill) had been watching the last three years and taking notes. We will be working through this book again in the near future.
Bill has managed to take these few lines from Proverbs and present them as a perfect balance of profound and easily digestible – even if at times a bit convicting. Hearing the truth in love is a gift beyond measure! In 30 short readings (2-5 pages) you, too, will find yourself grateful for these words of wisdom. You may find your leadership and lifestyle practices well aligned with many of the concepts, though I’m fairly certain you will find areas of revelation to challenge and grow you and those you lead.
